For the deals where Sales, Procurement, or Business teams need to push back, hold their ground, or sign with full awareness, before the contract ever reaches Legal.
The goal isn't to replace your legal team. It's to give your commercial people the judgment to spot red flags early, negotiate upstream, and know when to escalate.
A decade negotiating multi-million euro B2B agreements across energy infrastructure, EPC, banking, FMCG, procurement and SaaS, for teams at John Cockerill, Schréder, Siemens Energy, Belfius, Ontex, PwC, and others.
"I had the pleasure of working with Ronke during her mission at Belfius on contractual and procurement-related matters. Ronke combines strong contractual expertise with a pragmatic and business-oriented mindset. She quickly identifies sensitive contractual issues, understands operational realities very well, and helps keep negotiations focused on workable and balanced solutions."
"I had the chance to work closely with Ronke on a complex international project at John Cockerill, including contractual work linked to a high-stakes project in Central Asia. What stood out was her ability to translate business objectives into clear legal wording and to quickly spot contractual risks before they became real operational or financial issues. She is a calm, reliable and sharp partner to have alongside you when the deal really matters."
"Easy to work with and very business-minded in contract negotiations. She understands commercial priorities well, quickly spots contractual issues that could later create costly operational or financial problems, and helps keep discussions practical, balanced and solution-oriented."
"Working with Ronke on tenders at Schréder was straightforward and effective. She delivered clear legal input on customer contracts, flagged the right red flags, and made it easy for the contract management team to move forward without unnecessary back and forth."

Every engagement starts with a signed NDA. Documents are reviewed by me only and stored on encrypted systems, EU-based by default, or aligned with your own jurisdiction and requirements where you're based elsewhere. I run a conflict check against my active and recent clients before accepting any new engagement. If there's a potential conflict, I tell you before we go further.
I don't replace your legal team. I work alongside it, often by giving Business and Commercial teams the judgment to read contracts earlier, push back on the right points before Legal is brought in, and escalate at the right moments. Most engagements involve close collaboration with the client's internal counsel or external law firm.
AI is increasingly good at analyzing clauses, flagging risks, and suggesting alternatives, especially when given proper context. It's a real tool and your teams should use it.
What it cannot do is sit in the negotiation with you. It cannot read the room, take responsibility for the deal, or be the trusted voice your business team needs at the moment of decision. That's what these engagements build: the human layer of judgment that sits on top of the analysis, along with the experience to know when AI's output is enough, and when it's not.
Most engagements are remote-first, with on-site sessions when they add real value, typically for training days and key negotiation milestones. I'm based in Brussels and travel worldwide on request. Travel costs are billed separately.
Yes, in most cases. I review your MSA at proposal stage and confirm whether my standard engagement terms align, or where adjustments are needed. The goal is to get to a signed engagement letter quickly without unnecessary friction.
Engagements are delivered in English or French. I'm qualified at the Brussels Bar, and I've negotiated contracts governed by Belgian, English and a wide range of legal systems internationally — across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa, including OHADA jurisdictions and various common-law systems. For jurisdiction-specific drafting, I coordinate with local counsel where needed.
Once an engagement letter is signed, fees are payable as scheduled. If the deal or training is postponed by more than 60 days, the engagement can be rescheduled at no additional cost. If it's cancelled entirely, work performed to date remains due. Full terms are set out in the engagement letter.
A 30-minute Discovery Call to understand where you are and discuss whether, and how, I can help.
